Hi Kait - thank you for this lovely newsletter. Congratulations on your accomplishments! I am woefully behind on my submission goal (5/100 for 2025) - so I appreciate the list of open subs you posted! I participated in poetry month by rolling the metaphor dice every day, writing whatever popped up for me with minimal editing. I will pull out favorite lines and try to construct a poem this month. During poetry month, I wrote 1286 words, 319 lines of mostly nonsense. Favorite line written 4/18/25 "She is and always has been the love poem" (about my 6th grade teacher 💜)
That’s such a great idea for NaPoWriMo! Feels like a low pressure way to just create. I’m not sure if this is what you did, but it would be cool to just write a line or two a day, then put them all together after the month is over. And that’s such a sweet line! I love a little ode to elementary/middle school teachers. 🥹❤️
Thank you!!! And oh noooooo! Okay, that actually makes sense because they just give the vibe that they'd send a rejection letter like that lol I think I kept wondering if they were real - like, how do they have no reading fee and that high of payment? But I'm going to submit to them just to see what my rejection looks like. I need to know if it's an unhinged template or if everyone gets their own unique unhinged rejection 🤣
lol I'm so curious so please let me know (but let's hope you don't find out and get acceptances all around!) ;) Also, thanks for letting us know about Kelly Grace's workshop - I'll see you there!!!

Some days, I wrote a line or two. Other days, the words flowed like they tend to do sometimes. I like the idea of a 30-line poem of sorts. 😎
Congrats on your poem-of-day in Gnashing! Very, very cool! That unhinged rejection letter I posted a while back was actually from Tableware >_< lol
