Spring has always been my least favorite season. Growing up in southeastern Texas, we didn’t really have spring—it’s a two season kind of place. On top of that, it seemed like, for awhile, major upsets in my life happened in the spring.
It wasn’t until I moved to Minnesota seven years ago (has it already been seven?!) that I started to appreciate spring. After my first long, arctic, icy winter, how could I not see spring in a new light?
One of my favorite things about spring here is that there a lot of trees whose petals turn pink, white, purple, or magenta in the spring before going green. That was totally new for me my first midwest spring.
Living a four-season area has made me appreciate ALL seasons a bit more, but today I’m welcoming spring with some of my favorite spring-themed poems I’ve written.
Enjoy, and blessed Ostara!

I’m from Minnesota. It’s a beautiful place. I currently live in Ohio but still have 4 seasons. Happy Spring 🌸
